Skidegod Coffee Roasters

Skidegod is an imagined brand and cafe in Copenhagen.

The term, “skidegod”, translates to “damn good” in danish slag, inviting local customers to enjoy some damn good coffee. Skidgod’s logo design was inspired by a local Copenhagen bridge, Cirkelbroen. Skidegod aims to celebrate the local Copenhagen culture through the expression of the brand being intertwined with Dutch language and architecture.

The brand was designed with attention to the local scene and design preferences. Stylistic choices were made to ensure Skidegod complemented Copenhagen's established aesthetic. Modernist influenced design is popular in the local scene, so the approach to branding and packaging keeps this in mind as it calls upon minimalism and geometry in its design. This can be seen through the patterns used on packaging, which reference specific instances of modernist design like constructivism and bauhaus.
