Skullcandy is a headphone, earbud, and speaker brand.
Previously the brand was geared towards the youthful and adventurous audio consumer, however their appearance did not match this message. Skullcandy positions themselves to be unique and for the people but their visual aesthetics are not in line with that sentiment and lack humanity. In an effort to better represent those music listeners something had to change.
The new design features a bright color palette that stands out in any setting and a logo that captures the visceral power of music. Other branding assets like photography are approached with a more human focus, photos of humans taken by humans. Typography is edgy, yet accessible. All these elements work together to create a better picture of a brand with a strong message.
